ting the most neurologically important area of the spine -- the upper cervical complex. Due to the unique structure of this area, abnormal mechanical function of the vertebra may produce effects on the entire nervous system, including the function of the brain. By restoring normal nervous system function, the body can better self-regulate; thus allowing for proper healing and regulation of the many systems in the body. With proper nervous system function as the groundwork, additional treatment may then be considered on an as needed basis to form a complete approach to care.
A unique and thorough analysis is the cornerstone of our center's approach. Our center combines state-of-the-art analytical technology with a thorough clinical work-up to assess each patient's unique condition. One of the cutting-edge imaging procedures we use is Digital Infrared Imaging. This advanced imaging test permits us to detect physiologic responses to injury and disease. This technology is used in patient care to monitor the effect of treatment. When radiographic examinations are necessary, specialized Precision Biomechanical Radiology is used for exacting patient positioning and spinal analysis. Unlike conventional radiology, sophisticated laser technology is used in the calibration of the equipment as well as in positioning the patient. This ultimately expands the amount of information gleaned from x-ray films and allows for diagnostic interpretations that cannot be made from standard equipment and images.
