Applied Upper Cervical Biomechanics
Post-Graduate
Education Program
The use of specialized upper cervical technique in chiropractic is part of a growing movement of doctors who are shunning the "musculoskeletal only chiropractic" trend we are seeing today. Frequently, we hear from many experienced field practitioners who are asking questions about their practices: Where is the chiropractic that consistently cares for more than just spinal pain? How can I transcend the practice of pain management to the practice of true health care? We all have been told that chiropractic can effect the body as a whole, but where is this practice? These are the questions our association is striving to provide objective answers to.
Through sound scientific research and the use of modern technology, the IUCCA has been making significant advances in upper cervical patient care. Our post-graduate course was developed through decades of clinical observation and research. The foundation of our course is built upon the current scientific literature's evidence on the relationship between the upper cervical spine, the central nervous system, and global physiology.
The foundation of the chiropractic profession stands upon the premise that health and disease are nervous system dependent. The IUCCA was the first upper cervical association to incorporate research based normative data for the detection of abnormal neural function via paraspinal digital infrared imaging, and to validate the adjustment as the correcting measure. Our entire approach to care, from arthrokinematic radiographic analysis and neurophysiological imaging to adjustive procedures, is unique to our profession. What we have found is extremely significant and exciting for chiropractic; as we now, more than ever before, have the technology to consistently effect internal disorders and the data to back our clinical findings.
If you are ready for a practice that delivers consistent broad-scope health care, then welcome to the IUCCA.
